Engineering, Technology, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (ETRAI)
The bridges presented here were constructed by students of Delbarton's Engineering, Technology, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (ETRAI) class - as part of our unit on civil engineering. Since we could not construct actual bridges in class, we turned to a (good) virtual bridge designing program. In constructing these bridges, students learned about stress and strain, about the forces which develop on truss bridges, about building bridges cost-efficiently, yet while providing the needed support (plus more) for vehicles crossing the bridges. Students were also instructed to bear in mind aesthetics, as their bridges will stand (virtually) for many years to come. We hope you enjoy the efforts of these young engineers.
